Born in China, raised in Beijing and Dallas, Texas, Dr. Bridgitte Shen Lee founded iTravelCE to share an inside view of the culture of traditional and contemporary Asia while providing continuing education for medical professionals. Both of her parents graduated from China's most prestigious medical school, Peking Union Medical College. Her upbringing in medical academia helped to shape her own career in helping others with their sight. Now raising her two young daughters to be multi-lingual and bi-cultural, Dr. Shen Lee hopes to create an opportunity to share the Chinese and American cultures that she cherishes. Through iTravelCE, she has custom designed an unforgettable travel experience combined with an expert and engaging professional learning experience.
Unique in destination education, iTravelCE is a bridge between the Asian and the American/European optical industries. It brings optometrists to Asia for their continuing medical education and to gain a better understanding of the optical industry in Asia. Dr. Bridgitte Shen Lee is also a consultant and a speaker for various optical industry companies to introduce eye care professionals globally to the latest innovations in ophthalmic lenses, contact lens, luxury eye wear, anti-aging eye care, Digital Eye Health℠ and Ocular Aesthetics℠ products.
Dr. Shen Lee earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin and her Doctor of Optometry magna cum laude degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. In 1999, with a fellow eye doctor, she founded a private optometry practice, Vision Optique, in Houston. She is fully fluent in Mandarin Chinese. An avid traveler, her footsteps have traversed Europe, Asia, and North America.
